The ecological diversity of Nepal is a wonderful example of how lovely and resilient nature is. By protecting the environment, we protect numerous species, their habitats, and the complex ecosystems they live in. For instance, the Bengal tiger, a lovely animal with a lively personality, the red panda, and the one-horned rhinoceros are all in danger. By maintaining their habitats, we are helping the ecosystem as a whole and safeguarding these amazing creatures.
Our ability to survive depends on ecosystem services. They provide us with food to eat, purify the water we drink, clean the air we breathe, and control our climate. Keeping these ecosystems intact is essential to both our own and future generations’ well-being. For instance, Nepal’s woods function as natural filters, absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, just like the community-managed forests in the Terai region.
